IPTV to the Mobile (DVB-H) » IPE-10 » MIP insertion
How is the MIP insertion feature configured on the IPE-10?
The feature is configured via the IPE-Manager Graphical User or SNMP interface. The MIP insertion data is generated from the IPDC Frequencies and Cell configuration on the IPE-10, which is also used to configure the ASI output bitrate and the information SI/PSI information in the NIT (Network Information Table). This means that there is no longer any misconfiguration possible between IPE output and Modulators.
It is possible to insert via the GUI/SNMP other MIP parameters: Frequency Offset, Time Offset, Transmit Power, Private Data, all addressable via Tx identifier function as defined in ETSI TS 101 191 "DVB mega-frame for Single Frequency Network (SFN) synchronization)"
